Reconnecting & Reclaiming Ancestral Identity
Healing Through Ancestral Teachings

Indigenous Cultural Foundation is rooted in Los Angeles County, on the ancestral homelands of the Tongva, serving urban Indigenous communities through ancestral teachings, ceremony, cultural revitalization, and intergenerational healing. We honor the knowledge and traditions of many Indigenous Nations while respecting the original caretakers of these lands.

Our Foundation

The Mission of Indigenous Cultural Foundation is to support individual and community healing by integrating ancestral teachings, cultural practices, and wellness-based approaches that promote identity, resilience, and intergenerational healing.

Ceremony as Prevention

Ceremonial participation strengthens identity continuity, relational accountability, and community belonging — functioning as upstream prevention infrastructure.

Intergenerational Healing

Reconnecting youth with elders and cultural knowledge holders to restore the kinship-based mentorship systems disrupted through colonization.

Identity Restoration

Strengthening cultural identity as a protective factor — helping youth situate themselves within intergenerational narratives of survival and resilience.

Historical Trauma Recovery

Addressing the cumulative wounds of colonization, displacement, and language suppression through culturally grounded healing frameworks.

Vision background

Our Vision

Our vision is a future where Indigenous and culturally rooted communities thrive through holistic wellness, strong cultural identity, and intergenerational healing rooted in the teachings of our ancestors.

The Indigenous Cultural Foundation was born from the belief that when Indigenous people remember who they are, healing begins. Rooted in Los Angeles County on the ancestral homelands of the Tongva, we serve Native American, Mexican Indigenous, and Central American Indigenous families by reconnecting our communities to ancestral teachings, ceremony, culture, and one another. Inspired by the teaching of the Eagle and the Condor, we envision Indigenous peoples from Alaska to the southernmost lands of South America walking together with mutual respect, honoring our diverse Nations while remembering that we are all connected. Through counseling, restorative practices, cultural education, mentorship, and ceremony, we work to restore balance, strengthen our communities, and leave a legacy of healing for the next seven generations.

Support The Vision

Help Build a Legacy for Future Generations The Indigenous Cultural Foundation is rooted in a simple belief: the strongest communities are built by the people they serve. Together, we are creating a culturally grounded space where Indigenous children, youth, families, Elders, and community members can gather to heal, learn, celebrate, and reconnect with their ancestral identities. Your support helps us build a first-of-its-kind Indigenous cultural center in Los Angeles County at this scale, a place where ceremony, language, cultural education, restorative practices, land stewardship, mentorship, community gatherings, and intergenerational learning can flourish under one roof. This vision is about more than a building; it is about creating a lasting home for culture, healing, and future generations. Every contribution, whether through volunteering, partnerships, sharing resources, or financial support, is an investment in a community-led vision. Together, we can build something that belongs to the people, is guided by Indigenous values, and will continue serving our relatives for generations to come. **For the community. By the community. For the next seven generations. **
